Hello all,

I've been using the site for a while, but I hadn't felt the need to register until now.

My Wii had been running games perfectly well until recently when the port 0 stopped being detected. My USB flashdrive works perfectly on my computer allowing me to modify its contents and such with no problems, I plugged a USB HDD on port 0 and it lights up, meaning the USB port has energy, it however isn't detected either.

While looking for help on the matter I tried everything on this link also and this link, without success.

I installed BootMii, the latest system menu using DOP Mii, cIOS 222 and 223. I started using a newer version of Configurable USB Loader. Tried force loading cIOS 223 on it, tried connecting a USB HDD on port 1 while my USB flashdrive was connected to port 0 and nothing works.

I've been trying to fix this issue for several days now without success. I was hoping you guys, who are much more knowledgeable could help me solve my issue.

Thanks for reading.

It was just because my system menu was very outdated. Version 3.4 or something among those lines. But this isn't the issue. Everything's working fine, I can play original games perfectly, the problem's my port not being detected.

Your System Menu doesn't affect what games you can play, or your USB port. 4.1 would have been a better choice.

You need to follow the directions I gave you.

You didn't follow ModMii if that is all you did.

I ran WiiMod and those are the files it downloaded to my sd card. I replaced all my old files in it with the WiiMod files and installed all of them. Isn't that what I had to do?

Yes, WiiMC detects my HDD, I can run files from it.

I hadn't realized an actual guide was generated. I thought that by follow the guide you meant the wizard that downloaded the necessary files on my computer. Thank you very much, I will follow the instructions thoroughly this time. I will post an update on my situation tomorrow afternoon.

Of course. It used to work perfectly, it stopped being detected without me modding it or anything.

I found one of my old quotes that you might find helpful

I finally found the posts explaining How to get your usb-loader working using port1 instead of port0, but I don't think the port1 ehmodule will let you run games from FAT/NTFS, only WBFS... so u may have to beg oggzee to update it to support the other file systems too

instructions:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=196...t&p=2467184

more info:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=196...t&p=2464006

PS. apparently uloader and usbloader gx also have some support for port1, not exactly sure how to get that working, but its supported.

PPS. To all the ppl still talking about cIOSs in this thread... get a clue, the cIOS used isn't the issue here... so why are ppl still talking about it?

edit:

Will this work with configurable usb loader 70 though? They only talk about CFG 50, I've been trying to find it, without success, oldest one I can find is 51.

I looked it up and after a while finally found it. I followed your steps carefully, it didn't work.

I decided to try my luck with u Loader, in oder to run games on port 1 on uLoader one needs to activate a hack, I followed the instructions and the loader asks me to plug and unplug the device on port 1. However, they aren't read.

Neither CFG nor uLoader seem capable of reading any of my ports. WiiMC however can read files on both ports from my HDD. My flashdrive, which is formatted as WFSB, blinks once when I plug it in WiiMC, meaning it reacts, at least. This doesn't happen on the Loader channels. I don't know what to do anymore...
