Hacking USB loaders freeze trying to read USB

So I recently bought a new USB stick so I can play Gamecube games along with my Wii games (because if I had both on the same stick they would work). Gamecube games were working fine for the first 4 days but today, when I tried to open a USB loader it froze on startup. The thing is that the hard drive with the Wii games is working just fine but when I plug in the Gamecube games stick, USB loaders freeze. Please help! :nayps3:
