Not to hijack at all, but I'm having the same problem kinda.

The drive is WBFS, loads fine in Config but will freeze the console if I have it plugged in when launching Wiiflow249 (I overcome this by plugging it in when it asks for it). But won't load NTSC Games (PAL WII LU31) just goes to black screen and freezes on both loaders.

I installed the cios rev20 to 249 with base 56.

For interest sake here's my syscheck report.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm searching through the forums for a couple of weeks now trying to see if anything like this was similar.

Cheers guys and apologies to the original poster (I can make my own thread if this is seen to be hijacking too much)

OK, seems like that cIOS v20 is NOT installed and I would say that's the problem. Reinstall it using IOS236 for install and slot IOS249.

I did something really stupid and patched IOS61, which flipped my Homebrew Channel, stopped all Wiimote input in homebrew, and made NeoGamma unlaunchable. I gave up, uninstalled HBC, and updated to 4.3. My softmod usually worked about 20% of the time, and it broke whenever I was having friends over to play Wii. Unless there's a way to start the softmod over from scratch, I think I'm done with this until I can afford a modchip.

Thanks for the suggestion Fix, It didn't work though.
I reinstalled the cIOS to 249 using 236 but no luck. Still a black screen when loading NTSC games.

I'm ripping a few games again just to make sure it's not the game. I don't think it would the rip as it is exclusive to the few NTSC ones I have.

Okay, I've had it with this thing. I bought Other M, because I'm sick of trying to get this to work, and the legit disk won't load! Just a black screen.

I updated to 4.3, I removed HBC and all other channels I got illegitimately, and nothing. How can I completely remove this softmod? It's just not worth the headache.

...you removed the homebrew channel and updated to 4.3? Do you still have priiloader installed?

Never installed priiloader. I have BootMii installed. I can tell since the disc light flickers when I turn the Wii on. Plus, the Shop Channel isn't booting now, either.

Edit:
I'm giving this another shot. I'm starting over, I've managed to get into BootMii, and reinstalled HBC. I think I can get this working, but I'll definitely post here if I need help again. Thanks!
