Just tried V6 through HBC and it works!

Using a forwarder WAD, I get stuck on network initializing then a code dump.
How do you like it? :]

Some comment on it:

Download works great for me! but while downloading I could not do any control at all (we can work on this)

I will add configurable option for this tomorrow =)

I'm on V6 and I am stuck on initializing network.

Do I have to do anything special with my config file or something?

I also get a code dump. Another forwarder issue perhaps?

v6 beta works flawlessly for me =)

I have removed the text.

Anyone who want to test on it could try again.

Aww you did? the text was there to show that it was in the process of downloading...that way it doesnt look like its not doing anything. If you already have the boxart for a title, you dont see the text anyway. My personal opinion is that it looked more professional with the text.

I am using V4 at the moment and i'm very happy with it, great work guys.
As this seems to be the "ULTIMATE LOADER" don't you think it deserves a new thread to make it easier to find, especially for newbies looking for the best loader to use (seeing there are lots of them)

Thanks again for the hard work on this

Working fine from a forwarder for me, your forwarder actually lol (I told you it would be my permanent usb loader channel)

That's true! I will add it back.

Is there any chance to thread the download process? That way we won't get stuck.

Unfortunately no, the download function isnt threaded (although I wanted to) because the way the loader is coded if you changed titles during a download it would screw up the entire process. That and it only takes literally a second or two for the png to download (and once its down you never have to worry about it again) so there really isnt an issue.

Also a threaded download would change the program flow considerably and is nearly useless as they download very quickly

So I guess it might just be a network timeout thing. Possibly it just has to be given more time to initialize depending on the network? Just a thought.

It's really amazing how much hungy has worked on this. You are the sheez hung.

If I had to give one more useless thing to add to this, is a suggestion with the HOME restart thing.

You have "exit = Back to HBC" and "reboot = Back to the Sys Menu". Is there anyway you can add a return to original loading option? That way if you start USB Loader from the HBC it returns you to the HBC and if you start it from the forwarder it will return you back to the Sys Menu.

I believe I have an MPlayer CE forwarder and I still have the option to do both. Just a suggestion that can be added to the bottom of the list.

its a CIOS_rev10 issue, bugs have been reported to Waninkoko, word is they will be fixed in rev11.

now we have this config file, is it possible to also configure the wireless settings in there so that only the USB loader can create a connection without the wireless settings in the Wii menu? (this is to prevent my sister upgrades to 4.0)

it seems that you guys only read the last page and not the pages before, so I'll just get this question to the last page ;-)

//edit: oh give me a break, new page again

technically yes, but oh what a pain. 90% of the network code is automated and located in net_init();

it would be easier by far to block nus.cdn.shop.wii.com in your router.

EDIT: going to bed now.

what about cIOS installs? don't they get the files from that url?

Okay, here is the configurable version

Configuration is just the same as oggzee's version, except:

path should be a full path

(for example, instead of SD:/images, you should put SD:/images/)

use "SD" instead of "sd"

name changed to images_path instead of covers_path (put your background under images path)

ocarina, video and home option have been removed.

simple = 0 is normal version
simple = 1 is child1 version
simple = 2 is child2 version
simple = 3 is teen version

put the config.txt under root of SD or under SD:/usbloader/

put titles.txt under SD:/usbloader/

Thanks hungyip84!

I was preparing to do that anyway, but you saved me a lot of work, you're incredible!
Although, I prefer if the default config location is sd:/usb-loader so that it would match waninkoko's path.
With the config options in the ultimate loader, I guess I can rest my case now

I'll see, maybe I'll come up with something else to add...
