Silly me, your right. it says in credits version 3.0. I upgrade d2x to beta53 base 56 but still doesn't work, I'll try upgrading to latest version.

The revision number is what matters. v3.0 covers over three years of updates. It should say "rXXXX" somewhere in the top right of the credits screen. r1260 is the latest.

If the version has a "c" in it you're using the full channel version and it is no longer supported. You have to uninstall it and use the forwarder channel and .dol app instead.

Try using that tool above ^

After you enable XP compatible mode (4096 byte sectors) on WD Drives you should be able to create a single, 8TB FAT32/64k partition with FAT32 Format GUI, WBM, or Easeus. If it doesn't let you, try converting to GPT and give it another shot.
its not showing up for my passbook ultra

I checked all over the screen on credits the only rev number is the IOS249 rev number (which is 65535).

Can you either post a screenshot of your credits page or upload the .dol file and send me a link?

65535 is the max an IOS version can be and is generally used to prevent an update trigger from disc-based games.

just download the r1260 from my signature and replace the files on your SD card with the package content.
launch it from HBC and you'll be sure to have the (current) latest revision.

I merged your report into the main thread, and use a spoiler tag to prevent slow page loading for users on a slow internet connection.

Thanks for the report, but you didn't tell which revision of the loader you are using (the report need the exact version to be useful)
You also didn't tell where this error happens (when loading the loader, when going into a specific menu, when launching a game, etc.)

Your syscheck report is fine.

Sorry for my ignorance but does the Wii .wbfs format save files without the
partition 0 - Update
partition 2 - installer
only partition 1 - Data is needed???
if not is their anyway to store and run games without the wasted space of partition 0 & 2?

That I do not know, that's why I'm here for help.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Quick question, will this work with a USB 3.0 case, because I just got one.

It will work fine on a Wii. You will need a Y-cable on a Wii U.

There's no "installer" partition.
Partition 0 - Update
Partition 1 - Game
Partition x - Other (only Smash Bros use this one. Or maybe games with installable channels, like wiifit or mario kart)

By default, USBLoaderGX is dumping a disc to wbfs by removing the update partition. it keeps both the games and the "other" (needed for Smash bros).
You can tell the loader to keep ONLY the game partition (but if you dump smash bros, you will have issues with that game). using the setting "only game partition" is fine for ALL other games, as it has the same effect than "remove update partition". though, you might not be able to install the official game channel on system menu anymore if you remove the "other partition". not that it's very useful anyway....
so, the default mode used by the loader is the best choice and already remove wasted spaces. installable channels are only few Kb.
You can change this settings in the Settings > HDD settings.

If you use WiiBackupManager to put game ISO on your HDD, then there's a similar option where you can choose to "remove update".
WBM list partition on an ISO as "UGO" (update, game, other), if you mount your hdd with all your wbfs files, check the column where you have these letters, you should only have G or GO. if you see "U" then you have full game's data with update wasted space.

Channel installers have their own partition type, too.

Brawl is the only one that has the weird partition with the demo WADs in it. IMO it's best to use Wiimm's tools to convert Brawl to WBFS. Wii Backup Manager corrupts the partition table because of the demos.

What about copying the game over using USB Loader GX from the original disc? Will that corrupt it too? And for someone who has never used Wimm's Tools before can you give a brief guide on how to properly convert SSBB? Thanks.

I'm not sure if GX handles it properly. I'll have to look at the source.

You can use the same WIT options for any game, it's just the only PC utility that currently handles the weirdo partition properly. WBM could be fixed if the source was available. :/

"wit --psel=-UPDATE --split copy game.iso game.wbfs" Should make a split WBFS file without the update partition.
