no, I'm talking about doing wiiU hacks/exploit/testing loadiine/testing WUPinstaller/NNU/etc.
I read a lot about wiiu and 3DS hack progress everyday after work, so it's taking all my free time

I would gladly accept beta testers for USBGX, but currently I didn't work on it for the past month.
And time zone is always an issue, when I release something that I need to be tested, I have to wait a day to see if it's working or not, get reports etc.
time zone USA/France are not easy to work together.
Interesting, is it yet possible to hack Wii U mode?

I work a rotating shift work schedule so the hours that I am awake are all over the place. Next time you want something tested let me know and I'll let you know my schedule.

Also, are you in any kind of chats like irc or something similar? I figure that would be the best way to communicate rather than constantly checking a forum post.

yes, there are already different released hack (but you need 5.3.2 or lower)
- user mode hack
- kernel mode hack
- RAM edition (cheat code),
- Version spoofer
- File replacement over the network (like Riivolution on Wii),
- File replacement over the SD card (backup loader)
- Gamecube controller patch to use it instead of the WiiU gamepage (yes, mario kart 8 with gamecube controller)
and other things I might have forgotten.

Read the WiiU stickies if you want info. you need a specific firmware version. (like PS3, if you updated, you can't do anything)

Also, are you in any kind of chats like irc or something similar?
I'm always connected to IRC, but not always in front of my computer. (sleep, work, etc.)
I'm on irc.abjects.net #gui-usbloader-chat

Actually on both PS3 and 3DS there are ways to downgrade again and mod the firmware, I just don't know how they're done but I once accidently updated my PS3, I took it to the store where I bought it modded from and they downgraded it and modded it again, cost me around 120$ just to get it modded again and had to wipe out all my progress :s

Anyway I updated my WiiU recently "with the whole internet thingie I was having" so I'm probably out of luck for now, but at least I now know we're on the right track, I'll just wait till it's possible to run WiiU games off hard drive then the real fun begins :)

So, Is not there more updates for Wii/vWii? D:

Maybe, first complete actual "roadmap" and then move to WiiU System

Hi Guys,

I'm sure this is a total noob question, so my apologies to everyone. Everytime I try to load a game from USB Loader GX (I can see the game, download the game art, etc.), it takes me back to the wii menu. I've tried to attack this in like five different ways based on other answers I've read here, but can't get anything to work, and feel like I'm just making my wii a mess by blindly throwing things at it. The SD card is an 8gb HDSC card, which is maybe the issue? It seems based on some posts I've read that this isn't a big deal anymore, but according to older posts, it's a deal breaker. I can run N64 games on the emulator no problem, but the wii back ups don't work at all.

Below is my sys-check. Any suggestions are hugely appreciated.

USB Loader GX won't boot games from SD. They have to be on a USB device. (preferably a HDD, not flash memory)

You are using an older version of SysCheck that doesn't identify what the custom IOS modules are but you should have at least d2x v8 or v10 base 56 in slot 249.
I have mine set up as 248[55], 249[56], 250[57], 251[58] to cover most of the IOS that games use.

This is what the two key slots should look like on the newer Hack's Den SysCheck:
IOS249[56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta53-alt): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta53-alt): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

IOS249 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0
IOS250 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

not sure which version you have installed.
It could be d2x v8 with maxed out version, or old rev17 maxed out too.
if it's rev17, it's not compatible with FAT32, so maybe that's your issue. we don't know.
please reinstall d2x v8 in slot 249 and 250, with base 56 and base57 respectively.

if you have priiloader, or don't launch retail disc from Disc channel, you don't need to use "65535"
use "21008" and we will know that you are using d2x v8

Maybe use latest syscheck version (from link in my signature) and it will detect the version.

edit: damn, ninja'd again today :p

@Deaftrap54 I was once like you randomly installing things to my Wii trying to get things to work without really knowing what I was doing. Luckily I never bricked my Wii doing so. But I think the best and easiest way to make sure your Wii is properly up to date is to run your syscheck through ModMii. The great thing about that is ModMii will download everything you need and even generate a simple to follow guide to tell you how to install everything it downloaded for you. Give it a shot and see if that helps?

Excuse me, I'm experiencing a problem with USB Loader GX and Nintendont, maybe you could help me.
When I start USB Loader GX, I set GC mode to nintendont, the path to nintendont and the main games path to the usb drive.
After this I can run a GC game flawlessly.
The problem begins when I use the button combo to exit nintendont back to USB Loader GX, at this point If I try to run another GC game, I get the message ''The game is on USB. Do you want to copy the game to SD or delete a game on SD?''
And the options Copy, Show SD and Cancel.
At this point I also can't find any GC options on the Loader Settings menu either as all disappear.
This forces me to restart USB Loader GX and repeat the whole process of setting the GC mode to Nintendont and set the nintendont loader path, because it doesn't save those settings either.
I'm using the latest revisions for both, USB Loader GX and Nintendont.

Make sure your USB Loader GX is up to date. It should auto-save the settings. Make sure the slider on the side of your SD card isn't in the "lock" position.

My USB Loder is r1256-1257.
I'm also loading it from the USB, not the SD card.
Same with nintendont.

Oh, make sure there's no SD in the slot, go into the USB Loader GX menu and reset the settings. Sometimes homebrew is a bit wonky when running purely from a HDD. Also make sure to delete all traces of the USB Loader GX files from the SD card if you decide you want to put it back in.

I tried with no SD on the slot, I also tried with no apps folder on the usb and only nintendont and usbloadergx on the sd, neither method worked, same behavior.

what kind of ULGX channel you have installed on the system menu?
A forwarder? A full Channel? or both?
Double check your ULGX version from the credit menu when you return from Nintendont.

The problem begins when I use the button combo to exit nintendont back to USB Loader GX, at this point If I try to run another GC game, I get the message ''The game is on USB. Do you want to copy the game to SD or delete a game on SD?''
This is probably because your installed channel is NOT a forwarder, but an old version of the loader.
you should uninstall USBLoaderGX channel (titleID ULNR) using a Wad manager, and install the USBLoaderGX forwarder (TitleID UNEO)

currently, you run the loader from HBC but "return to loader" is launching the installed channel, which is outdated.

You can check the version in the settings>Credit
and also, I added the revision number to the loading screen. at the bottom left, you should see "v3.0 r1256"
if you don't see the revision, then you are not loading the correct version.

Latest forwarder wad file for Wii:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usb...er GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad/download

You will need this :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usbloadergx/files/Releases/v3.0/USBLoaderGX_v3.0_IOS249.wad/download
this is the full channel ULNR, you need it to uninstall the currently installed channel.
go to your wad manager, select this wad file and select "uninstall".
then select the forwarder's wad file and select "install".

Do you have to have the wad file in order to uninstall it? I haven't needed to uninstall any recently but I can almost swear I have deleted channels without the wad present. I could be wrong though. Are there dangers in trying to uninstall a channel without a wad?

it might depend on the homebrew you use.
for example, "Any title Deleter" can delete any installed data without its corresponding wad, but due to its nature that tool is very dangerous (you could uninstall IOS or system menu !!!)

Using a wad manager is safer, it can only uninstall data that you have the corresponding wad titleID. (sorry, my sentence doesn't seems to be proper grammar)
selecting the wad, you have the choice to install or uninstall it. you know it will not uninstall something else.

When using a title deleter, you don't always have the proper game name, you only have TitleID (internal TitleID Hight and titleID Low), if you press the wrong button, you can brick your console.

I'm having an issue installing games.
I was able to get some to install. But, it seemed like half the time, they were failing. So, I went through the process of using ModMii and letting it choose the WAD's I needed. I installed them.
Every game I try now barely starts installing, but then, locks the console up. (I can click around but can't move anywhere.) Also, I cannot seem to delete the games that are partially installed.
Trying all official Wii disc games.

Here's most of the syscheck info. USB Loader GX should be up to date, as well as being on 4.3U.
