Will the themes currently hosted from here be converted over for future loader versions? In other words, will the downloadable themes be in the new format in the coming days/weeks? I don't have the time or patience to make/convert my own themes. Thanks!

i am sure that they will be converted in due time... and new ones made also.. but i am sure most folks who make themes for GX will wait till the final version is released as things could change in future beta revisions.... just be patient in things will come... people do things for free... so i don't mind waiting till how ever long it takes for anyone to make themes....

This may already have been answered in one of the other 933 pages, but is there a source of .dols for the newer versions of USB Loader GX? - the site linked from the website only has up to revision 938, from July, but people here are talking about using R1027.

I'm pleased with USB Loader GX, but would like to be able to try a new version to see if the issues I'm having are fixed (namely crashes I think are being caused by HDD spindowns, and not working with the latest IOS222 installers)

Thanks

I wasn't trying to sound like I was in a big hurry!

I was wanting to know the process involved. I already have my setup fixed and working with current themes anyhow. Thanks!

with the new revision you cant just replace the dol if you are on a older one... you have to delete the config files in gx for it to work as a lot has changed in GX..

Is it possible to use a ntfs formated drive or how can i use the double layer games like smash bro. with a fat32 drive?

Well, ntfs has no limit on the file size.
Maybe you mean fat32.
Wii Backup Manager and Wii Game Manager manage games bigger than 4 GB by splitting them in 2 files: game.wbfs and game.wbf1.
And you can play those games with any loader supporting fat32, gx is one of them.

Let's hope that this is the end of the buggy GX as we know it. They really worked hard for this release, and I wish them good luck!

ah, yes, I guess I would have to debug the channel too

I tested only the .dol and the forwarder channel for the moment.

I guess there will be channel wad too, they were always released along with the dols.

I really don't get the point of these channels. You need a HDD or SD card for the covers and config anyway so why not just put the dol there too and use a forwarder? It's so much easier when you need to upgrade, and considering how often updates are released that is a big advantage in my world.

I just had a quick question about this loader, I'm really new to all of this. I got my wii modded yesterday and I am using the loader gx wad file that a friend sent me. This appears to work fine. But I have also downloaded the loader from this site and it includes many other things. If I want to use this version do I copy over all the folders to my SD card? And than load the new wad file?

I'm still a bit confused on what a forwarder is?

Thanks

like its name says "forwarder" it forwards from a channel to your dol so you don't have to go inside hb channel

Also after I download this new version of loader gx do I copy all the files to my app folder on my SD card? When I ran the installed on my pc it put all the folders seperatly under c:....wierd.

I downloaded the R1029 release. But how can i create a forwarder channel for it, if i don't want to launch it every time via homebrew channel?

Get the forwarder here: http://www.mediafire.com/?r11bwt1occlanmk

Use a Wad Manager of your choice to install it. Place the forwarder at the root of your SD/USB device and install. You should have the forwarder channel available now from the Wii menu.

Btw. is there any info about the release date of the upcoming final version or is R1029 already the final?
