I'm using IOS 249 rev 19 on the latest USB loader (r929.dol). Whenever I select a game to load, the wii freezes and the blue light on the DVD drive lights up. any fixes?

Yes, turn off quick boot or game sounds in the options. Either one will work.
Or you can go back to r921 and eliminate the bug altogether.

Went down, that did the trick, thanks!

But now I'm having a glitch with Monster Hunter Tri, I can get to the menu but when I pick new game I get a loud buzzing sound...any info?

you need to use either cIOSrev19 with base 57 (if I'm not mistaking), or Hermes cIOS v4 [38 merge 37] installed either on slot 222 or 223.
Then select the IOS slot you want to use to boot MHTri using the per-game preferences.

my config is in my sig. it's working fine.

I have a strange problem. Whenever I load a game my Wii slot starts lighting up, but it doesn´t load the game. It stays in the Gui and I am still able to move my cursor. Whenever I press something in the Gui nothing happens.

It used to work, until I formatted my USB Drive (2GB, only using it for Mario Galaxy 2). It however does still recognize my USB drive and sees the games installed. I have Cios Rev19 and the newest version of USB Loader GX.

@danielkraak :
why not read the few last pages to see if this is a known problem ? or just few message ago, from the same page, flameo200 had the same problem and the solution is given too.
It has been said many times :

here what you can do (choose only one from that list) :
- revert usbloaderGX to revision 921
- revert cIOS to v17 (

r921 Unofficial Mod
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VMPHWEBL

PoP w/ patched main.dol working with cIOSXrev19 base 37. The only thing I believe to be broken is returning to GX after exiting a game - it will just take you to the main Wii menu instead.

The reason I did this is because the r929 mod still has the "game sound" bug when using cIOSXrev19. Hopefully we will get an official release soon with everything fixed.

So my Lacie 500GB is not supported; GX freezes up when I turn it on and I've tried probably 20 different things to get it working so on to something else. I was looking at a Western Digital My Passport Essential since they seem to have the most confirmed working but then I hear about some drives coming with a un-removable VCD which makes them incompatible which kills that idea because the one I wanted is the exact one listed on the compatibility with the notes mentioning the VCD.

I need a drive that will work with GX asap under $100CDN, please anyone give me some suggestions because I live in the sticks so driving back and forth to stores testing drives would be a nightmare and ordering online without any guarantee would be even worse.

I run most games from USB loader GX. I was thinking of installing StartPatch or Priiloader to prevent disc updates, but I read somewhere that using only USB loader, it will not be necessary. True/false?

Is this the Lacie with the 2 x 250gb HDD inside? http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=htt...%26tbs%3Disch:1
I will reply in your thread

Nope it's a single HDD inside (samsung) brand name is a Lacie Porsche; there's a 500GB one listed as compatible with all kinds of tweaking but it's not even the one I have.

*edit* omg progress tried again and for some reason now it'll at least bring up gx and show a game I have on the drive but when I click on it the game won't launch; screen goes black wii freezes....... sucks but at least it'll read the drive now.

921m works with 249_v17 as well.

I haven't been able to figure out how to update this to the latest revision directly through the update function in quite some time. Someone said I needed to allow beta updates or something but I can't find that option anywhere (the one option I found that refers to beta is set to ON). I have been manually loading the new .dol file for many revisions now and I'm getting tired of it.

Where is the setting to allow me to update to new revisions from within the loader?

You may have an old version of GX that does not have this option in it but even if you do will not work, I think updates are turned off. I am at 921 and if I want to update will come up with no updates available.
