I've installed Dairantou Smash Brothers X (Brawl), and the game works fine, but whenever it tries to load any video it causes an error. So in other words Subspace emissary can't be played, etc.

I haven't looked that hard into it, and I'm new to this, what's the general fix for this, or could it be something to do with the USB device?

is it a rip off the retail or is it DLed?

if its downloaded then

dvd5 = no SSE, VC demos and video, all extras ripped out
dvd9 = full game

ps why not just get the PAL ver instead of the JAP?

It's a legit retail copy, so obviously it's dvd9.
Multiplayer works perfectly fine mind you, which is not an issue.

I love how you assume i'm a pirate, this is the copy I imported early from japan.

What cIOS you using? Rev? Wan or Hermes? . . . . . I can play it using configurable with Rev 15 running from wbfs.

Rev 14 by Waninkoko, I don't believe I've installed Hermes cIOS.
I'm unfamiliar, is it okay to install them both, or does one overwrite the other?
I haven't installed Rev 15 because I wasn't sure about it, something about a 001 error and drama surrounding a leak.

I had the same problem you are because I was using Rev 14. Moved to Rev 15, I can play the entire game of Brawl without problems.

You said you were using configurable usb loader though.
Are you able to play Brawl on Rev 15 though USB Loader GX, because that's my loader of choice for sure.

Install either Hermes 222, as 38 merged 37, or install 249 rev 15. It is known that 249 rev 14 cannot read DL discs, due to a bug.

goes gx still read titles.txt or only the wiitdb file now? if so wherer do u put the titles.txt
GX does NOT use titles.txt anymore. You'll have to use WiiTDB. The WiiTDB.zip or WiiTDB.xml goes into the configured config folder, but you cannot use the full file! You'll have to download it using USB Loader GX, or first press 2 on a game, and in that dialog press 1 to generate a txt file with the correct url in it.

Any bug reports from Rev 15 using USB laoder GX? like Error 01/ 02 on some games? Progressive mode turned into interlaced, etc etc???

Whenever I put New Super Mario Brothers on my USB hard drive, USB Loader GX locks up with the "exception dsi occurred" error.

I have tried the raw ISO, patched ISO, and trimmed ISO versions.. If the game is on the hard drive, it locks up.. If I delete it, everything goes back to normal and works fine..

I'm using WBFS file manager to copy the files over to the hard drive.

How do I solve this?

Same on my Wii. Today i install NSMBW (from original NTSC DVD), and when it finish (when should show 100%) usb loader lock up and blacks screen with exception dsi error appear. After that, I reset Wii and now USB Loader won't run, always show exception dsi error. I have cIOS rev 14, and softmoded ntsc Wii 4.2.

It might be more helpful to know what GX revision the both of you are on. As you can see in my signature I'm on the latest GX and because my hard drive is FAT32 it's only IOS 222. Only played world 1-1 but it worked perfectly fine.

I made sure to update both the homebrew channel and GX..

GX says "1.0r815" when loading..

My Wii firmware is 3.1U..

I'm not sure how to check the homebrew version, but it said there was a new version and I updated to it..

I have a 320G hard drive formatted with the WBFS file manager, and the ISO is copied to the hard drive with that utility as well..

I'm gonna try to burn a disc and see if I can play from that..

Everything works fine until I put NSMB on the drive, then GX locks up when loading. If I delete NSMB off the hard drive, everything works fine again..

EDIT: to update my USBLoaderGX, do I download the latest .DOL file from here:

http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/downloads/list

which would be r843, then rename it to boot.dol and copy it to the /apps/usbloader_gx folder (overwriting the older boot.dol)?

EDIT 2: nope, that doesn't work. I just get a black screen that never loads GX.. How do you updated it to the latest r843?

Replacing the boot.dol is all you have to do. You might have conflicts with your config files. Back them up just in case (So you can try to put them back) and then try deleting those.

QUOTE(qubonepl @ Nov 25 2009, 12:45 PM) I'm on USB loader GX r841 (today before installing NSMBW i made upgrade via update option).
It could be your ISO. Mine is NTSC full ISO.

Are those the files in the SD:\config folder?

Yup. I can't check right now but I think there are three files with GX.

That works!

downloaded the r843.dol, renamed it to SD\apps\usbloader_gx\boot.dol, then

removed the config files (so I guess it created new ones)..

Everything works, including NSMB!

Thank you so much!
