is GX's file size limit for fat32 partitions 2GB or 4GB?
I think at tye moment is 2GB

Maybe in the future will be 4GB, since Oggzee released the source code of both "cios_mload_31_fat_cfg48" and "SDUSB-Loader_cfg47"
r838
Added new ehcmodule to support 4 GB WBFS files by oggzee.

Faster than lightspeed.... I didn't downloaded this version yet... I hope the long time needed to see the games in the fat partition has been reduced substantially...
Thanks tj_cool

my network connection isn't working in games booted from usb loader gx. Here's some details:
-booting from fat partition
-Hermes' cios 222 latest
-Guitar Hero 5 and Call of Duty World at War aren't working with networking. Haven't tried any games that do work
-networking works in usb loader gx before booting a game.

So how is support for wbfs file loading from fat32 partition in this loader?
Is that still buggy/beta or fully working? And does it perhaps require ios222?

I have no problems with it whatsoever. The update server already updates to 838, which includes FAT support. It would require cios 222 rev4. FAT support is not possible with cios 249, since that won't allow us to load an updated ehcmodule.

are you trying to play brawl plus? the code file from brawl plus will not work on ANY USB LOADER (its too large). you need to use the brawlplusupdatifier program play brawl plus via USB

SSBB doesn't work on r838 with ocarina ON. -> DSI ERROR.
Same here. Not even Brawl+ either, just regular codes for replays, file patch, etc.
Since I don't use Ocarina, I have no clue what this is about. Give me a link to the codefile (PAL version), and I'll look into it.

I don't have a PAL version of my codeset nor do I know where to get the codes for it lol.

edit: nvm, got it working. updated to latest dol, now it's ok
so how do i get gx to read from a fat partition?
I tried running a game in wbfs file format already from fat in configurable loader, so i know it's working
but when i start gx, it immediately says there is no wbfs partition (well obviously). do i need to set it manually or something like that?

Using rev841 USB Loader GX is starting and does not show any (missing) partition errors. But the game list is empty here. Im using a 2 GB stick with only NSMB holding (FAT32 partition in /wbfs folder).

Any idea?

do you have ios222 installed?
no, but did now

Weird thing: After installing cios 222 (IOS 38 used) usb loader gx nor cfg usb loader can mount my usb stick.. (i did not test cfg loader before installing cios 222!)

I tried installing cios 223 as well, but no success either.. surely im using left usb port..

Any idea left?

edit: I have installed cios 222 rev4

It might take a few moments.
I had a screen with just the background file in gx and no buttons at all.
after a few moments a box popped up asking me me to choose a fat partition

Cfg loader does detect FAT partitions with wrong ID (eg. FF), GX does not, is it possible do implement this feature?
You may ask why. Well, if you use your HDD at the Wii and X360 it's the easiest to format it to fat and hfs+ (because of movies bigger than 4gb). But if you have a FAT partition on the disc the xbox won't detect the HFS+ partition. So I changed the FAT partition type to FF, OS X still mounts it as FAT, cfg loader runs the games and the xbox opens the HFS+ partiton. Just GX can't use the partition.
