I recently installed cIOS 13b and the most recent Forwarder Channel. I've tried USBLoader GX revisions 454 thru 456... Running the 1st game is ok, but when I exit out to Wii menu, and load USBLoader again, it freezes when trying to run a 2nd game. I tried turning "Quick Boot" on so it skips the Disc Labels, and changed from using CoverFlow to just using the Game Titles. Tested using the Forwarder Channel and loading via HBC, both do the same. Anyone else with this issue?

ok have have updated the both usb loader channels (in the first post) chnaged the animation a little bit and clean up the brlans and brylt in the channel.

fullchannel based on 447

forwarder with actually forwarder ..
There is a boot.dol in the forwarder rar (in the "apps/usbloader_gx" folder).

Is that r447?

I'm curious because I can't seem to find r447 anywhere... The revisions page only shows r446.dol. And then it does show 447.elf to the right side, but when you go to download, it's actually r446.elf.

I prefer the forwarder channel over the full channel, so I'm just curious as to which file is included in the forwarder channel rar.

ps - I haven't looked to see if there is a readout inside the loader to see which revision is running, I'm about to go do that now.

When I try the change the settings of a game (per game setting), the cursor will suddenly displace and point the wrong position. The cursor keeps pointing the wrong position even I exist the per game setting menu.

#1 - It's a bug in cIOS13b.
#2 - Everyone using cIOS13b has this issue.

I just noticed this as well.. The cursor seems to be shifted down a bit. You can still click on things, but the actual click area is slightly above the hand cursor.

so the channel you updated and not the forwarder, correct?

EDIT: you said both channels, sorry

I just compiled rev457 and every time it saves to the config file and the usbloader is opened again it stacks dumps. I have had this problem from rev448 up. I am using ios38 13a and need to know what to do. I have loaded rev447 but can't figer out why all others have this problem for me. Please help.

OR
check the site's http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/ download page
for the latest official channel (r447 - 2009/06/04), the new official forwarder (2009/06/04), official covers (2009/05/28) and discs (2009/05/30) packs, language files, old hermes 222 which was compatible, Waninkoko's cIOS38 v13b plus anything else that worth the space

You can also grab the now outdated pack of Version 1.0 for the icon and meta file.

NEWS page informs about the important stuff
(plz read the first post or the help page + FAQ page at the sitebefore asking
)

People who cant load the loader or having some troubles
they should try to use .ELF
since .ELF is a lot more accurate in processing code

Just use 446 already. It should be as stable as 447. I can't upload every single rev. Also i fixed the 447.elf typo

Thankx for fixing the typo. And don't mind me... I just realized that the page I linked to with revisions to download is managed by you and not directly by the devs.

And I'd like to add that I'm amazed at how quickly and nicely (politely) everyone involved with this project respond to the people (myself included) that come here with questions/problems/suggestions.

Keep it up guys!

NeoRame,
newest forwarder (2009-06-04) is giving me stack dumps on loader boot (tried both .dol and .elf) every time.
have gone back to 2009-05-30 forwarder and thats fine (phew!)

cIOS rev10.
thanks.

edit: forget the other part, couldn't recreate.

I have my set up to boot directly to the loader. From there, I want people only be able to boot a game or shutdown the system. So I have no need of that menu that pops up when you press the home button on controller or the wii button on screen. What would I need to comment out to disable those?

Hi there. I hope you guys can help or point me to where i can get help. I installed this usb loader in my wii. I need to get an external usb drive to go along with it. Is there any preference on getting a 2,5" or 3,5" drive? I hear some people can't get their drives recognized on the wii. I don't really know wich drive to buy.

Thanks a lot.

I am using a 320 gb wd passport and it works great, I also have a 120 gb wd passport and it also works great. I have read that the 500 gb wd passport did not work for some people. Hope that helps

I'd have to agree there, i have a cheap ass maxtor 640gig that seems to work "ok" (even after turning the spindown off it just seems to have issues occasionally, although most problems seem to be solved now with newer versions of mplayer and the usb2 cios etc..), but i told my girlfriend to get a western digital my passport essential 320 gig i think it was and it's absolutely flawless, works first time every time, and its a shitload smaller then mine

plus its powered off the wii
