I just updated the Loader "Channel", to revision 403. Will someone please test it? Thanks!
http://wii.spiffy360.com/getfile.php?channel=channel

P.S. ~ Does the "official" channel and forwarder use Waninkoko's or Comex's loader??

Thanks!

(Said Sarcastically) - Thanks, for everyone that tested this for me!

Just thought I'd ask again (Kinda skipped over my post since there was a release or something XP)

I have 3.2U w/ Starfall at the moment.
Do I need to upgrade in order to get this to work? I already made it WBFS and turned off spindown on my external drive (Was a pain in the ass... program only works on Vista x32, not XP... not Vistax64... uggh!)

I've tossed some games on it already using the WBFS Manager 3.0, and I'm loading my SD card with USB Loader GX to install right now, nothing else I have to do?

is this version a forwarder also?

I'm not getting a code dump, but my External HDD is not being recognized... I'm using Maxtor One-Touch III (200GB)

Is there some sort of extra crap I have to do after to make it compatible? It's already WBFS, with 2 games on it.

It's not FAT32 (Couldn't get it working through Vista... anyone have any clues on how to format it FAT32 on Vista?), and not sure what to do after if so.

I'm guessing what I'm supposed to do is:
Format FAT32
Format WBFS (Over the FAT32? Or using a second partition past the FAT32?)

What I did was:
Format NTFS (Not Quick-Format, Full format)
Format WBFS

Is the FAT32 part necessary? Couldn't find a guide specific to USB Loader GX, but only for the other usb loaders, so I have no idea if it is or not.

No, if you go to http://wii.spiffy360.com/loader.php then you will see there is a channel and a forwarder. The channel has the revision number that the channel was created with.

http://wii.spiffy360.com/getfile.php?channel=channel will always give you the most recent CHANNEL and will list the revision number in the filename.

the forwarder channel is the same one that is posted on the 1st page then?

Yes the forwarder one is the same, since that doesnt need to be updated. I have sent a pm to cyrex to see if he wants to link the channel to my link so its always updated on the first post.

hello guys

just need a little help to compile the revision number

i have tortoise and silksvn installed but when i compile, i obtain that:

make[1]: svnversion: Command not found

help me please
unsure.gif

Same for me in DevKitPro.

Tried a "svn update" in loader source directory but still get the snvversion problem when I compile.
Is there womething different now that the rev number can be displayed ?

EDIT : ok, now I don't have errors when opening "makefile" instead of opening project...

Strange.

Could anyone point me towards a link for an idiots guide to getting the most out of USB Loader GX. Specifically to getting cover art and disk art to display. I've tried a trawl, but there's too much crap to sieve through, so I'm guessing one of you clever kids out there can help me out. And yes, i tried the link in the first post, and i can't access it (thanks chinese firewall).

Cheers!

Hello
I know this probleme ( I post it last week).
To correct it you need to plug your SD on computeur and look which boxart is corrupted. For that I display all boxarts in miniature and the corrupted boxart don't appear, so I delete it. If the loader crash at the beginning , I'm sure it's the first boxart. For me it was Aqua panic ( the first) .

I was running r366 chanenl on my Wii (Preloader .29, Crazy Intro, Wani's SYSMENU 4.0U) with no issues. I tried to install the Channel .wad for r403 and I'm greeted with an error (-1035). I've installed other wads fine (virtual console, USB Loader channels), so I'm not sure if this is an error with cIOS or not.

Will wait for the next revision; until then, I'll try to find an older channel revision and see if those work.

edit: nvm, seemed to fix it. Used Channel File Manager to delete the channel from the Wii Nand, then deleted the channel in the settings. Reloaded Channel File Manager and installed r403 and now everything is working great!

Do I need to prep my HDD in any way to work with this? I read in another tutorial I need to reformat to FAT32, but that means only 32GB of data which sucks... >_>;

You dont need to format to fat32. You can also format to NTFS QUICK and the loader will find it. I tried that already many times.

@mgorganchian
Where does this accur? Right on start? Try removing/renaming your config folder and than boot again.

@All that cant compile
I tested it myself and it works. If you used tortoisesvn just install SlikSVN. You dont need to use it, you can update your Folder as always. Just to be able to compile you need to install SlikSVN. (also try full install maybe you did compact or some shit like that)

Hi mgorganchian

I have a code dump at launch since the rev 370 too

Perhaps do you use the parentalcontrol setting ?

Try to turn it to 0 with a notepad in the GXGlobal.cfg if it is set to 1, 2 or 3, then try the last revision

If it works, you can follow the issue 334 on wiki

Thanks dimok.

Thanks to thebobinc for helping as well.

I'm formatting FAT32 right now anyway, it's at 40%, been working for the past 2 hours formatting that crap lol.

Hopefully it'll catch it this way without a problem. :]

*ding ding ding ding ding* we've got a winner. That's the problem with older revisions... they fucked the first cover up when downloading. Delete the corrupted ones (maybe if you are on a rly old revision delete the configs as well and start all over. Problem is now solved. I wanted to put it on the first post but i forgot that.. sry.
