It’s great you’re willing to take that on; a community database setup could really help USB Loader GX users. Hopefully someone who’s done it before can chime in with the exact steps.

Have you enabled anything in Priiloader's settings?

If so, disable them.

Under menu hacks in priloader i have now disabled everything (i had only enabled the ones recommended) and problem still remains. But also as i said in my original post when you click on a game and get the screen where you click start for the game there is no image, i feel like this must indicate the issue? Thanks.

Your console is PAL version; use PAL or European games.

Use reputable brand-name SD cards.

I haven't been able to boot any games with 4.0 r1283 on Wii U vWii, Its an American MKWii dump of my MKWii copy on an American Wii U. I have the appropiate d2x cIOS v11 Beta 3 on the correct slots and base IOS.

WiiFlow works fine

Sorry for the delayed replies! I've been really busy juggling this project, other projects, and life in general.

As many of you are aware, I've been working on the next update for the loader and d2x cIOS for a while now, and I've still got a fair bit to do due to the complexity of the changes and unforeseen delays along the way (mainly due to libogc changes and bugs). However, I'm putting as much of my free time into this as I can and it's all starting to come together now ^_^

Please keep in mind that I'm a solo developer that's working on these projects in my free time purely as a hobby. I write all of the code myself, so I fully understand how it all fits together and works. And I know these projects inside and out, which is why I've been able to fix decade old issues and make more and more games playable over the years, while also creating game patches that work flawlessly across the Wii's entire library.

A big part of why I enjoy working on these projects is the process itself. I enjoy debugging problems, figuring out why something isn't working, finding solutions, and learning new things along the way. That's what makes programming fun for me. So, some of you will be happy to know that I won't be using AI in any of these projects, just as I haven't for years prior, and I won't accept pull requests that use it either. And that's because I want the code in these projects to come from people who understand C/C++, the existing codebase, the hardware, the limitations, and all of the quirks and little details that come with working on something this old.

Sharing this here, seems to be a common request. Being able to turn off or replace the loading screen would be great.
The loading screen displayed in that post is from the forwarder rather than the loader itself. So that could be resolved by using a different forwarder e.g. one from ModMii.

If you're specifically talking about the loaders boot screen, then what do you think you'll gain from disabling that? Because there seems to be this misconception that by disabling the boot screen it'd speed things up, but it wouldn't. Not even a little.

This app was designed to access all of your drives and partitions and build a list of your games before displaying its UI. During this process, it will let you know whether everything is set up correctly for Priiloader auto-booting. It'll also check whether your USB drive is connected, and if it isn't, it’ll provide a countdown while giving you the option to switch your primary storage device to an SD card, among other things.

Without any of this information being displayed, you'd be left staring at a black screen for 5-10 seconds, and that's assuming the app boots without any issues in the first place.

I could add an option to disable the logo from the boot screen. But IMO that looks weird.

If you haven't tried it yet, try installing the loaders latest official forwarder instead.

Running 4.0 r1283 on an original Wii. It downloads Nintendont fine but always fails to download wiitdb.zip within the first MB or so. Is this expected?
It could be that their website was having issues at the time, so try it again. If it's still a problem then I'd assume your Wii's got a poor WiFi signal.

Updating the WiiTDB database isn't essential, since most changes are minor and unlikely to be noticeable anyway.

In USB loader, when I click on a game, it loads the screen when you can click game setting or start; this page has NO music or banner image for the game selected.
This usually happens for one of three reasons.
  1. You didn't eject your storage device from your PC before you disconnected it, thus resulting in it corrupting the game.
  2. The game backup is bad.
  3. You modified file/folder names after the loaders cached the paths.
If it's the third one going to Settings > Miscellaneous Settings > Reset Cached Titles typically fixes it.

The next update improves the cache check slightly, so outdated cache data should resolve itself more often.

Try resetting the cached titles and all game settings. And if that doesn't fix it, try resetting the loader to its default settings, since a bad global setting could cause it.
