Its been months since ive had it even hooked up. Booted it up today and it either wont see the games on the drive or i get a fatal error and have to reboot. It sat in a box for about 4 months. What could be wrong with it? thx

it's not easy to know what's wrong, but at least the box is not the cause :P

you didn't do anything to your Wii before stopping using it, and after re-using it ?
no updates, no setting changes, no network issues? etc.

let's start with the basics :
Tell us which version you are using (don't say "latest", it's not useful).
if you don't know :
- follow the syscheck guide in my signature
- update USBLoaderGX (use the link in my signature too)

From here, we will advise what else to try.

Using V3 R1260 currently. When i load up GX, it brings me to another wii menu like when you first boot up. It has 2 versions of GX again. One just does a bootloop back into the main menu and the other one goes to black screen.
