Homebrew USB Loader GX: How do you use FAT32?

If USB Loader is already working, I assume you don't have to install those files again. So I downloaded the WAD and dol files. But I don't know what to go from there xD

Delete USB Loader GX completely from your drive and do a fresh install. If you're on Wii firmware 4.1 or above, just go grab the d2x installer and follow the instructions on their Wiki for cIOS 249 (base 56) and 250 (base 57). I'd recommend just grabbing v8 Final unless you have issues with your USB drive under v8.

Okay, I'll try that. To uninstall USB Leader GX, you just delete the channel right? Do you have to uninstall the cIOSes and WADs? Or can I leave them alone?

I'm talking about your dols. I don't know your Wii setup, so your cIOSs and channels are your business. All the information your want is in the USB Loader GX thread, you just have to do a bit of reading. I have a bit of work to get done before morning hits, so I won't be helping anymore.

so, here the things:
1- your USBLoader is very old (2.0? or even before). look in my signature, there's the latest revision (r1256 instead of 800)
extract the zip to your SD and it will replace the old boot.dol and meta.xml located in /apps/usbloader_gx/

2- like I told you, converting to FAT32 will place games in subfolders which are NOT seen by the loader (hence why you get 0 games)
You NEED to use WiiBackupManager to automatically rename the folders correctly.
(though, I updated the loader not long ago to work with GameID only... it should detect games without this step, but do it anyway, it's a lot cleaner)

- launch the program
go to settings and set this:
- option > title > use title > use WiiTDB
- option > title > download titles.txt
- option > title > use Wiitdb titles.txt for file and folder name
- option > FAT32/NTFS > naming style : Title_[ID] (or "Title_" with the underscore! if you don't see the "[ID]" part, it's a bug)
- option > FAT32/NTFS > automatically update storage convention when drive is mounted (<---- this is what will rename ALL your existing folders automatically)
Save and exit the settings.

Now go to the HDD1 tab, and select your drive letter in the drop down list.
Done ! (existing folders were just renamed for you )


3- Like I said too : If you still have 0 games, you will likely have to refresh the partition information in the loader if you didn't delete the configs.
Go to settings > HDD menu > Click on the first option to refresh the partition info and detect FAT32 instead of WBFS format.

4- If you had a very old USBLoaderGX version, you probably have a very old softmod too !
You might have to update your cIOS, but DO NOT FOLLOW YOUTUBE !!!! please, stop that.
if you need help, ask here, NOT ON RANDOM SITE. please, save us the trouble to fix your console because you think youtube is great.

5- You are talking about the "wad" and "channel".
If this is the forwarder channel, maybe it's the old one and you might have to update it.
if this is the Full channel, it's not used or updated anymore, please delete it and install the forwarder instead.

remember, don't try to fix what's not broken (don't try to update the channel or the cIOS if you don't need to), just be happy with what you have.
