Hacking USB Loader GX doesn't load up any games.

My friend soft modded her wii a long time ago, hasn't touched it in a couple years so I (new to softmodding) downloaded USB Loader GX. I used Wii Backup Manager and followed instructions very carefully but nothing works. I've put it in the right USB slot, tried WiiFlow, nothing works.

You need to post a bit more information for anyone to be able to help.
What version of the loader is it? (This can be found in the menu under "Credits.")
How is the drive formatted?
Do you have a cIOS installed in slot 249, and which one?

If both USB Loader GX and WiiFlow aren't working there is something else wrong.
