Hacking USB Loader GX - Artwork Download?

Is USB loader picky about what SD cards it will download art to? I have USB loader GX on a 8GB mini-SD with an adaptor, it loads and plays games fine off the card, however, it will not download art - errors with insert SD card.

Using a 64MB mini-SD with adapter works. Very odd.
