Hey, been thinking of making a page to do more or less the same thing then someone pointed me to this. Looks great. It'd be really cool if you made a PHP page that takes a disc id as a query string parameter and returns the corresponding PNG file. That way WBFS applications could automatically get covers (namely my future WBFS Manager 3.0 release)
I was planning on doing that myself with an ASP.NET page, but I have no where to host it, and you've already done a great job compiling this data.
I'd help you create the PHP page necessary, but I don't know how your data is stored and whatnot...
EDIT: Wait. lol. Just realized that you dont even need to do anything. Everythings already in place.... lol.
Lol yes - thats why i made it that way
everything is stored by : http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/{region}/{gameid}.png
for example http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/pal/RUKPGT.png

Hmm... I think it's best to keep it the way it is now. I've released a version of WBFS Manager (2.2) which uses your site... if you change the structure it would cause issues for users who already have it. Region information isn't that difficult to check in code anyway, so it shouldnt be too much of a problem. Of course in the end the decision is up to you, as its your site
smile.gif
If you do decide to change it, please let me know.

Yeah the site is there so coders can auto download things - i think its the way things should be - ill keep the structure if everyone is hapy to code that way for it - the only thing im afriad of is that say a game has multiple codes like say RUKPGT, RUKP00, RUKP03 , RUKP08 then all the versions would have to be there , but if it was only a 4 digit code then all you would need is RUKP and all versions would have the same image.

Not sure how hard it is to change on a coding side , and i have to still figure out more about the codes used , but ill go with thatever people think is the best way forward.

Your website is an awesome resource taz, thank you

Its really only any good because of everyone on here adding to it. Some amazing guys on here. Coders , developers , graphic designers and just people generally willing to help.
The speed that the requests are done is a credit to this whole community

I thought id be doing most of the stuff myself ,but the lads have been looking after most of the images and files leaving me to improving how the site works and the coders to work on everything else - its all a great system in fairness to everyone

I think the 6 digit format is there to stay .

Brothers In Arms Double Time is kinda sketchy, There are two Discs. One is Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30 and the other is Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood.

Another coverart for NTSC:

Actually R7EJ8P is NTSC-J, DJtaz please remove from NTSC. Sorry for mishap.
Also, RM6EEB Baroque (USA) & RM6E99 Baroque(???) are Duplicates..
http://wiird.l0nk.org/wp/15 states RM6EEB is USA, not sure what the other is

Can you put them into requests on the site please ?
Im not really dealing with the covers side of things any more and if they are requested on the site they will be created by someone.

Theres a lot missing , its a work in progress by the community here , so add any ones you find and someone will do them up

With the system as it is , we are going to get a lot of duplicates.
The reason being that the first 3 digits show the game ID , the 4th is the Region and the last 2 are the version of that game and could be a second release with a few updates or bug fixes , i think zelda has done that a lot.

I dont mind having duplicates as now there is a WBFS manager that auto downloads the images so id like to have everything covered.
Duplicates are fine as long as we have every code covered.

Hey djtaz, I just noticed that RW3E4Q which is Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is incorrectly entered as Pirates Dodgeball and has an incorrect cover. Thre correct name and cover are:
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
