Hacking USB Loader and microphones

I've been enjoying playing RB2 and GH off my external HD, but I still can not get the microphone to work. Has anyone been able to do this? Or does the new rev10 address this issue? The world is crying out for my rendition of "Any Way You Want It" by Journey.

That's rev 9's issue, rev 10 didn't fix it. Also happens with USB LAN Adapters.
