Last year in March, a friend got a 32 usb stick for my to put into the back of my Wii U, and it was working fine with WUP installer etc, and it had not been touched since August 2017, though recently my nephew wanted to play Mario Party 10 so I decided to turn it on for the first time in a long while. Upon switching it on, I went to the folder that games are installed in and noticed some games were missing, so I tried loading MP10 and got an error that read "There is a problem with the USB storage device. Please contact the manufacturer of the device. Check the device's documentation for contact details, Error Code: 160-0105"
After multiple times trying, some icons came back, but there were 2 gaps in the list of games with no icon, and so the friend suggested deleting all content, but leave the save data, so I went into storage and was unable to look at the usb, and decided to format it. After deleting the content, there were still a few icons from games that were there, so I opened WUPinstaller and tried installing Pokken (I think thats the only thing on the SD card) and so, the first time it does it, I didn't see the message but it went back to the Wii U menu, and it wasn't installed, so I tried again, and got another error message, this time saying
"The usb stoage device has been disconnected, press and hold the power button for at least four seconds, if the problem persists, the usb storage device may not be receiving enough power, please use an AC adapter or usb Y cable as applicable, error code 160-2713"
I gave this info to my friend, said there may not be enough power going into the USB, he said it isn't a power issue, he's convinced its definetly not, asks if its a specific game etc, so I tried installing again another 3 times, and the game didn't go past 0%, He said thats a bug and to just try again, but he suggested in the end that I should find a forum and ask for help, and here I am.
