Usb-c video is very slow and sluggishI recently bought a new USB-C cable that claims to be capable of video output through the DP alt mode protocol, and I was wondering if connecting my switch to a monitor using that cable would harm/brick the console.
The cable
Thanks in advance!
I know, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to do so without harming my switch.Usb-c video is very slow and sluggish
Why even do it when HDMI runs better and perfectly?I know, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to do so without harming my switch.
I see. Thanks for the input! Most likely not. I don't think you will get any picture to be perfectly honest.
I don't have a USB-C to HDMI cable, unfortunately. The cable was originally for my incoming Macbook Air but I was thinking whether it could work with my switch when I'm not using it for the computer. Why even do it when HDMI runs better and perfectly?
U will and can I have those those portable screens with USB-C video in and it's sluggish as shitMost likely not. I don't think you will get any picture to be perfectly honest.
If that's the case with the switch, how would the Macbook fare with it?U will and can I have those those portable screens with USB-C video in and it's sluggish as shit
The MacBook isn't a switch and does not need the switch dock to output video and soundIf that's the case with the switch, how would the Macbook fare with it?
So the quality is - as you say - trash on the switch because it's dependant on the dock to out put video and sound, and much better on the Macbook because it's able to handle these things independently. The MacBook isn't a switch and does not need the switch dock to output video and sound
