Meh maybe not so happy day. I see there is no hack for region free loading from Disc Channel. StartPatch claims to have this ability but I couldn't get it to work.

i get this message when i try to enter the Hacks Menu. anybody know what this is about? i copied and pasted what was in the WiiBrew link over what was in my old hacks.ini. should i have done something differently?

remove diag disc check: it should be for the recovery menu ..
disc auto start when right is pressed is used to autoboot, i guess it replaces the Y button on the gamecube controller

those are the most useful 'hacks' starfall used..

I just made a new hack.ini with the USA V4 codes and preloader said there was no hacks found. I copy pasted it into the existing hack.ini I had and only the old codes I already had working showed.

Has anyone else been able to get the US codes working?

Doesn't adding an empty line give you an error? Can you explain better or post a link to a working USA V4.0 hacks.ini?

Remove diag disc check. One of the most important hacks in Starfall. But I think it's useless now.

Hmmm.... press the right button on Health Screen maybe.... Then it'll boot the disc.

hacks.ini is supposed to need an empty line after the last offset-value..please post back after you've tried it

OK I figured out how to make these work. When you download Preloader V0.29 you get a hack.ini. Open that and copy and paste the hacks over the ones on there, and go to the end of the last line and hit enter then save. The new hacks should show up and work.

Thanks SanGor, I notice the hacks list on the page is short but the important ones are there. I'll play with this later if I decide to check out 4.0 today, I guess I want to hear a confirmation on "remove disk diag check" first. Anyone?

Figured it out, [Disc autostart] is that "hold Y" old starfall hack. The thing is, you don't need a GC controller at all. It automatically boots after showing your Wii version on the right corner. :>

Weird. This hack has an x at the end of its value:

It shows up on the systemhacks list, but when I hit B, and enter the hack list again, it disappears. Could it be because of that X?

Oh yeah, I just tested WarioWare (NTSC-U) backup, and it worked on disc autostart. Softmodded Wii. PAL games didn't work yet, though.

Yup, it isn't region free. Remove diag disc chek hack is needed to play backups, but that problem keeps happening to me. Sometimes it shows normally, but when I reset, that hack disappears or another hack replace it. :s
