Just a quick question: I am using the ninjhax on my Japanese 3DS version 10.7.0-32 but my 3DS wants to update, is it safe?

I don't want to lose the ability to access homebrew.

Thank everyone!

No, it's not safe, you will lose the ability to downgrade and thus losing the ability to use cfw or even install a9lh for a long time!
just follow plailect's guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki and install cfw+menuhax or a9lh+luma3ds, you'll be better suited ;) and will have a 11.0 sysnand/emunand

If you don't want CFW on your 3DS, for whatever reason you may have, then you'll end up pretty much losing most access to Homebrew.

Since ninjhax hasn't been fully fixed on 11.0.0-33. Even if you install the correct payload prior to updating, the amount of times you'll need to attempt to launch it successfully will probably suck.

Your only options for Homebrew on 11.0.0-33 are smashbroshax (n3ds only) and possibly basehax. Freakyhax isn't an option on J systems, as I don't think they ever worked on it for J systems, and it's a digital title only for J systems, and has since been pulled from the eshop.

OK I am new to all this so I don't understand the need for a cfw / a9lh / cfw+menuhax or a9lh+luma3ds

What can i do with those? Will they let me install VC games?

I have an old 3DS btw

* free games (piracy)
* homebrew on home menu
* leaked tools
* full control over your device
* etc...

If you are really "new" to all this stuff, maybe it's better to take little steps. A9LH could be stressful and time-consuming. I would say MenuHax+Luma3DS is better for you. I have 3 Menuhax+Luma O3DS and 1 A9LH O3DS. For me A9LH was not worth the whole work - plus some stuff isn't working as it should with A9LH. But this could be my system. In the end ... it's your decision

Even if you only want Menuhax+Luma, the guide is still the best way to get that setup.

Just stop at Part 4, Section 1, Step 25. That way you have injected FBI into RedNAND and have valid NAND backups of sysNAND and redNAND.

You will have brick proof and Nintendo proof 3DS with A9LH, and you will be able to unban yourself and pirate games (even with only EmuNAND, but EmuNAND isn't as safe and reliable as A9LH).

Hello, back in June you commented and gave me some advice. I was wondering where I can find a step by step guide for this. Any help would be great.
Start from this part of Plailect's guide.
