Hacking upgrading internal hd? which sizes are best?

hi i am looking to upgrade my internal hd on ps4 pro. i have a 1TB which is filled up sooooo quickly!!! but every guide i find suggests a 2tb. i wanted a minimum of 3 or 4. would be nice to hear from people if they have and what they are using (size/brand).

It depends. If you are the kind of guy that delete old games that you no longer play, 1 TB is enough IMO. It could hold up to about 15 AAA games with all patches and DLC, and I doubt any people play 15 titles at the same time. I usually play 3 games at a time, 1 mainly played and the rest 2 are waiting for DLC to come. Anything > 1TB has a higher cost performance ratio as it use a 2.5" drive. Might be cheaper just to go with external RAID with 3.5" HDDs.

well i have this ps4. it took me only 4 weeks or just over to fill it up.normally i would say 1tb is enough but unfortunatly its not due to size of games. im not one for deleteing games i have "payed" for. its not practical to delete a game and add it back in future as this is used by myself and 3 kids. my plan was i wanted a 3 or 4TB internall and ill have and external. also im prepairing for mods/cfw exc exc

As you didn't tell us you were sharing the console with other people and were going for CFW, I gave an answer based on a more general situation.

But if that's your case (4 users), going for 4TB or more is more practical then.
