Hacking Updating to 4.3

I'd like to update to 4.3 - purely because I just know someone is going to do it accidentally if I don't do it myself and I don't see Nintendo ever making another update at this point.

I've done a fair bit over the years to get this console and I'm under the impression it will all be undone if I update.

I'm just wondering if there's any risk of bricking or not being able to redo all the softmods. Below is my current config.

no risk of brick update 4.3 no problem it will Pymp my wii apps to repair the 249 ios update its binding wii and recomander

Would it be better to use firmware-updater 4.3 by waninkoko? I've not found a reputable place to download this however. I'm guessing it may infringe on some Nintendo IP?
