Hacking Updating the storage compatibility list

In the recent years storage have evolved greatly for what we have used to. Because the HDD i used to use for my side-loading with USB Loader GX died I found it really hard to find a piece of hardware to work correctly in there or Nintendon't and went to the compatibility list found in here.

Because of that, It is really hard because finding a HDD below 1TB is hard nowadays. For that reason I'd like to propose an update for future (hardware) generations.

That would be a newer list or filter to the one that already exists. Also focusing in enclosures and adapters would make it "kind of" future-proof.

According to the current database, the cases and connector or bridges (SATA to USB for instance) are the thing that matter when it comes to checking compatibility.
 
I just recently replaced my old drive with my old 7xxGb seagate hdd from my laptop (got a ssd in it now), bought on alixpress en external case usb 2.0 with split cable for data and power, works perfect
Can you provide link to external case u was using and is it for 2.5” HDD?
