Ive recently installed Auto rcm, I was wondering more than anything if their is a FW update weather I can reinstall it and boot just regular stock firmware(not CFW) using the current version of SX OS.

Apparently this isn't the case, just updated :P. Trying to boot "Original Firmware" no longer works from the RCM menu.

Just applied the latest update 8.1 sysnand, using the last installment of SX of 2.7.1 beta. Original firmware doesn't boot from RCM mode. Im guessing they need code, the same as they do for CFW. This isn't a big deal as I can still boot fine normally, I just dislike having to remove the right joy con and sticking a jig in the rail every time to use RCM ;).

if you have 8.1.0, nothing is going to boot (except emunand/mmc) unless you remove autorcm (because hekate needs to be updated, same goes for everything else).

I imagine Gentoo/Ubuntu and lakka should all still be fine though. Considering its all linux. Cant say for sure as I haven't tested, but I don't see any reason why they should run any differently.

Everything except 8.1.0 FWs, is going to work.
If you don't have autorcm, stock 8.1.0 is going to work as well.

I still create a new backup of 8.1.0 using an old version of Hekate? Both boot files and Raw NAND?
Creating and restoring NAND backups should still work normally on Hekate 4.10.1, even if the OFW is 8.1.0 (not supported by CFW yet).
