It has been about a month and 10 days since I moved in with my Aunt and Uncle. In that month and 10 days, I have found many new things to get used to. New routines primarily, but there were some rather unforeseen character traits that I'm not a huge fan of that arose. One thing that should be known about me is that I'm not political in the least, and I am even less religious. US politics disgust me, and I refuse to take part in such a corrupt, deplorable system. I've stated a few times as to why I'm an atheist, so I won't bother mentioning it here again unless somebody really wants to know. Where I run into a wall of sorts though, is with my Uncle.

Some background is that he had a stroke a few months back after hip surgery. Thankfully, he had it in the hospital, so they were able to catch it quickly. Because of that, he has retained all major functions, but he is rather stunted. He has consistent pain on one side that requires him to have good painkillers almost 24/7 just to get it to a manageable point. Thus, he focuses primarily on activities that require little movement. With his dulled senses due in part to the stroke and in part to age, that leaves him few options. He mainly watches TV and does small things around the house, as well as helping to take care of my mentally handicapped cousin. He and my Aunt are both religious and political, but my Uncle doesn't have a whole lot else beside that to talk about. Because of that, I have a lot of one sided conversations where he sort of talks, and I just nod in agreement when he directly consults me with a question.

Well, lately, he has been commenting more and more on the amount of time I spend on the computer. To put it in perspective, unless I have plans, I do spend about 13 hours a day off and on, on the computer. Making plans where I am is difficult though. I already wasn't too close to a lot of the people I enjoyed hanging out with, and this just set me about another 10 miles away from them. With no license and no car even if I had one, that leaves me at the mercy of rather sub-par public transportation that would cost money from a job I don't have. Nowhere around here is even considering new applicants until next month, and nearly all are 18+ only positions. That leaves me in a bit of a fix. Thus, I spend a lot of time online, though I'll get into the primary reason why this past week or so has been more than normal later. Anyways, he continuously comments on it, even though I go out of my way to do quite a bit around here while keeping myself in order. I take out the garbage, take care of cats, do dishes, empty the dishwasher, do yard work, help with my cousin, etc. I'm sure he is just poking fun at me, but it is one of those things that just gets aggravating after some time.

Between that and his political and religious talks, I'm about ready to go on all day walks until school starts in a couple of weeks. I refuse to tell him I never plan to be a registered voter, and I had to choke out a lie saying I believed in God just because I knew I would upset him if I said otherwise. I really hate to lie like that though, as I normally get to be very open with my political and religious views. Even if people don't support them, they are still understanding of where I come from for both. I know for a fact that he would not understand though, so it's better to lie if I'm asked directly, or just not participate in conversations of such a variety if I don't have to. It is beginning to frustrate me though, and I'm having troubles figuring out how to find a proper release for them.

IN OTHER NEWS

I was frequenting Omegle about a week ago or so, and managed to have a really awesome, non A/S/L starting conversation. It was fairly silly for the most part, but after about an hour and a half, we swapped Skype details. It was only at that point that I even knew they were a girl (although I had some suspicions since it seems like all girls seem to type within a certain set of styles). The next day, we actually started to learn about each other via the aforementioned Skype (just IM, no webcam, though I lack one anyways). Turns out, she is a pretty awesome Canadian chick. Since she lives three hours ahead of me though, so I sort of have to make sure I don't sleep the day away if I want any decent talking time. It is pretty awesome getting to meet somebody like that online though, especially meeting them somewhere like Omegle.

Something I learned about Omegle, by the way. She mentioned that she primarily gets matched up with girls, and running into guys is kind of rare. On the other hand, being a guy, I have a lot of issues running into a girl on Omegle, since I primarily run into a lot of guys. I swear, the system knows things.

I'm all registered for my senior year of high school. My schedule is pretty empty for first semester, though I have two more classes stacked on for second semester. Regardless, the year should be lightweight and simple. That's good too, since I'll need time to go university and scholarship hunting. I also need to sign up for the fall SAT before a whole lot later. Ugh, so much of this is going to suck so much. It's all necessary though, so I'll push through it to leave myself in a good place.

I think that's it for now. If you have any questions or comments or something, go ahead and ask or comment away. I'm quickly realizing as I type this, that it appears to be kind of on the long side. You can tl;dr the top bit, though that is sort of the important point of the blog. I won't feel offended if you just read this bottom portion though.

Nah jokes man, I hate having to be pushed around by Religion aswell.
Although I do belive in God in some sense, but in the same sense that a Christian does.

A quick example is that Christians are against being gay (not the person).
And I really hate that, their Human they can makes their own choices.
So I always end up in arguments over gay marriage rights etc with my
Grandmother.

A couple subjects I've learned to avoid with my Uncle, since his opinions are fairly biased and backwards:

- Faith
- Politics (he's fine one moment, then is blaming the democrats and Obama for the downfall of the nation)
- Sexuality (refer to the first subject as to why)

There are tons more, but it is still a bit early for me, so my mind isn't up to snuff.

Congratulations on the rare omegle find, there are plenty of gems in those mines, but it takes forever to dig for them. On one good day I met a band member, then a German physicist, and finally a nice gamer chick from London.
