Hacking Updates in a Backup Loader

I am installing a backup loader in a friend's Wii, but I was thinking, I install Softchip and Gamma, but how does updates on a disk work?
The Wii is 3.2E with Starfall (update blocker).

When I start a game with the Gamma Channel or Softchip Channel which has a update on it, will it update, or will Starfall block it or won't it update in any way?
I think updates can only be done at the Disc Channel, is this correct?

If you have starfall, it prevents updates alltogether.

If you use the gamma channel or anything else, you'll probably get one of the error, 002 or 001.

Both loaders bypass update. WiiFit requires the 3.3 update when inserted into the Disc Channel. When it is run via Softchip it boots with no updating.
