Hacking Update to 5.05

So it seems my PS4 downloaded the update, but I have skipped the install. I’m on 4.55 and want to manually go to 5.05. The downloaded update is 5.53. Can I still go to 5.05?

If it is not installed you can do a factory reset and wipe it clean and then go to 5.05.

I’m still on 4.55. It tells me when I start that 5.35 has been downloaded and I could install - which I skip.

If you don't mind losing data, then just do a full restore and then update to 5.05, you won't be able to update to 5.05 with the update file download, there is the FTP method to get rid of the update, but probably easiest just to start from scratch.

There’s hardly any data to lose lol. Haven’t used my PS4 in forever. Just now read how the homebrew scene has evolved on the PS4 and decided to try it.

Then you can just reinitalize or just do the 5.05 update using the recovery file but first you probably need to reinitialize probably.
