Hacking Update sysnand with ntrboot?

Hey guys I have a 3DS XL, when booting it does not pass the setup screen. I have got a ntrboot card working. Problem is when i first set it up with luma i had to enable boot from emunand, which for some reason just worked. After playing around luma no longer boot sysnand or any emunand. Is there a way to update the sysnand firmware (fresh install) using godmode9 or something similar? Thanks.

1. Try recovery mode.
2. You can't really update it. You can however CTRTrasnfer, which pretty much "reinstalls" your FW. Just do a CTRransfer with Godmode9 or Decrypt 9 or lazarus3ds.

Does godmode9 require a nand backup?

If you have a backup, you can restore it.

That's done it, excellent advise thanks so much, been out of the scene for a while, last time i was in was when gateway was new. Thanks again
