No dude, it's a clone just like every other R4 other than the original R4. There was never an official DSi or SDHC or "upgrade" or "gold" cart, they're all just using the R4 name because the R4 team isn't around to sue them.

If it's the one I have, it would be R4i SDHC Red Box, and the latest firmware for that is 1.27b
The way you do that is to go to the site in my signature, then go to download, and pick which language you want to download.
Then just extract everything with Winrar to your micro sd card's root.
