Hacking Update Question

Hi there,
I want to ask a question, i just bought a Wii U (zombie u pack) that comes with E 1.0.1 sytem menu and since i have been absent from scene i want to know if there is a benefit not to update for a future softmod (Getaway 3DS which does not work post 4.5 for example), or to update is necessity?
Moreover does it worth to update, in order to use the internet browser. I am wondering if i can use the gamepad as a descent pad for browsing and watch videos.
Finally, i have read that loading takes a lot of time in E 1.0.1 sytem menu and an update came to fix that.

As of now it doesn't matter. Perhaps in the future when someone can successfully get homebrew working on wiiU mode then it might matter. Only time will tell.

homebrew is still safe on vWii on the most recent update

You may want to update your Wii U before the Wii U Brew channel gets released. Nintendo will surely release an update soon after to block it.

Mmmm, i haven't thought about that. Two more questions, is there any option to update Wii U System Menu through wii u games, as it is happening in 3ds and is it possible to disable automatic downloads for games and System?

I'm getting a Wii U fo Christmas, is it safe to update it as soon as I turn it on? I'm probably gonna disconnect it from the internet as soon as it's done updating and setting up, just because I'm waiting for homebrew (like I am on my 3DS).

I would say that as your on the 1.0.1 you dont actually have a hackable system as the method taken to hack the wiiu seems to be focused upon the use of the vwii and you dont have that feature on your current system.

The wiiu's web browser is excellent , and the current firmware is faster .. they did make some adjustments to that.

You should update to the latest software ver and then not use it online until hombrew comes out

I think that the Wii U brew channel as already been proven to be a fake, don't hold your breath for a released.
