I have a PS4 on 4.05, I was booting HEN self hosting, using PS4 Exploit Host v0.4.1,
I haven't used the console for a week or so & I went to boot up today, but something has definitely gone wrong.
Firstly, I ran the Host 0.4.1 as usual, ran the payload & all seemed to be fine, until the console reset itself & started updating somehow.
Not sure why this happened, I had automatic updates, background downloads & suchlike turned off as usual,
As soon as I saw the screen I freaked a bit & went to unplug the ethernet cable from the router, but I couldn't get to it quickly enough, so I turned off the power supply from the plug socket.
However, pretty stupidly, I forgot that I rewired my whole living room setup at the weekend & that same switch also turned off the PS4.
Yeah, I know, foolish.
So, after calming down a bit, I turned the PS4 back on. It checked the drives & stuff, rebooted, & all seemed fine again, checked the system info, still on 4.05. Phew.
Then I went back to the PC & realised that the PS4 Exploit Host was telling me that it needed to update, which kinda made sense at the time, maybe that was why the PS4 update wasn't stopped from updating ? Or something ??
So, I downloaded & ran the most recent Exploit Host v0.4.2, but when I chose 4.05, the payloads I had previously used weren't there (on the PS4 User's Guide screen), even though I had copied all previous payload files into the 0.4.2 payloads folder.
But when I clicked on the 4.55 icon, all the payloads that I wanted were there, but obviously I couldn't use them, still being on 4.05.
So at this point I decided that I should just update to 4.55, & take it from there, I really needed to do that anyway.
So, I try to update via safe mode (just to be safe
)using a USB flash drive, but I get a CE-30778-5 error - Cannot access system storage.
Then I try to update with the same flash drive via the settings menu - System Software Update, but I get a SU-30634-6 error - An error has occurred.
Then I tried both methods with another flash drive, & two usb hard drives, also using several different 4.55 update files from various online sources, all apparently identical, using all the drives.
Still the same errors.
I'm guessing there may be part of an update file hanging around somewhere, or something else has gotten corrupted.
At this point i'm really not sure what to do, can any of you lovely people help ?
And my apologies for the lengthyness of this post, just wanted to make sure that I mentioned all the necessary details.
Thanks.
