Hacking Update Problem

I'm hoping to soon add the homebrew channel to my wii, but I'm not sure if I've updated the system recently. How do I know if I have 3.3 or 3.3v2? And also, should I look into renting twilight princess, borrowing it from a friend, or buying a used copy from Gamestop? Keep in mind, my wii is screwed up and has been burning scratches on to discs

if you updated the wii from the wii system setting after october 23rd you have 3.3v2, personaly id buy TP because its such a great game, but as you said your wii is scratching disks(it doesnt burn them on lol

the lazer is reading not writeing, try set your wii flat not virtical).

If you can go to the WiiShop Channel, then you've update it, if you go and it ask you to update, DO NOT DO IT, TURN OFF YOUR WII AND INSTALL ANY cIOS BEFORE THE UPDATE or even better do the WiiShop instalation that can be found around
