Hacking Update or wait Killzone mercenary ps vita

Sorry I'm noob regarding ps vita stuff .I have Killzone mercenary PS Vita never played with it and never update it ,I want to hack it to play psp ,ps1 and ps vita games. I'm not interested in playing psp homebrew or emulaters. Should I update to 3.60 for HENKAKU before its too late or is it better to stay and wait or is it possible to hack it from it's current firmware ?

rather stay and hack from the current firmware, the site henkaku is having problems and you cant play your homebrew if you dont access the site first
