On-Topic: I'm happy TC is back. The potential of the iEvo on homebrew community is huge, if they come through. I really hope they do as I want to continue to buy there products. They f-ed up recently, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Thing is, he's allowed an opinion as are you. When you start getting flamed then the boundary has been crossed but as it stands asking for sources if he feels the need and telling people not to demand all for nothing seems perfectly acceptable.

Well..I understand that pirating is pirating, that you can buy a game if you really want it, etc etc.

But all that is pretty damn irrelevant..people buy these flashcarts for the sole purpose of pirating games..I don't care what anyone says. So you say "I buy them and just use it so I don't have to switch carts"...yeah..right..whatever.

It's perfectly acceptable for people to be mad that the Cyclo is slow to update..it is the most expensive of the cards and you buy it thinking it is the best and expecting updates..but instead seems the entire teams are working on the DSi stuff..some of us don't care to own a DSi now or maybe ever..so we'd like our old products to be updated...otherwise we will buy something else..

Even if CycloDS users were using the card solely to back up their games, you're right, it's completely unacceptable to drop off the face of the Earth, effectively halt support, and offer no real communication to your base, especially when, as you say, it's a card that sells at such a high premium when compared to the competition. I've supported these guys actively for years -- both vocally and with my wallet. Only morons who don't know me would claim otherwise. That doesn't mean I bend over for anyone. TC hasn't done me any favors by supporting their card. It's been a mutually beneficial relationship. I give them money; they sell me a solid card. Outside of that, I don't owe respect to a team that flakes out like they did.

Thank you for quoting my post twice. I feel special and I dont recall your screen name on the CycloDS forums. I have been there for over 3 years with this same screen name. Very active at that. Flake out? Looks to me like they've given us a card that no other team has been able to deliver. So what if the web site goes down. Supercard has a great web site and they haven't been able to deliver on any of their extra features. Acekard has a web site but nothing useful has come out of them for years. I'll add to that the face that DSTT, M3, R4 have no support. So where do these standards come from? Cyclo updates have always come out and I could give a shit about a web site. The fact is they do deliver and they've delivered something pretty impressive this time that's beyond the scope of any other team and some people still bitch.

it currently has no commercial dsi rom support. you can't read/write from the sd after code as run from slot-1 (limitation of the hardware)

so it's pretty useless right now

And the only reason you're hearing people like me bitch here is because TC hasn't seen fit to get their forums back online; otherwise I'd be bitching over there. Feel free to "sit back and watch" again, though, as your comments here seem to bring little value to the discussion. You want people to shut up when they SHOULD be talking.

I have my favorite games on my CycloDS. If newer games come out and don't work on it, I just fall back on my crusty old original R4 (with Wood Firmware).

As for the CycloDSi....well, I just have a DS lite, so my old CycloDS (with my R4 as a backup) is suiting me just fine. I don't really need any of the new features that the "i" version unlocks. Although if the cart is really good, it may entice me to get a DSi XL, just for those bigger screens.

.....So was the DSTWO useless when it came out because it didn't have "all" its features available? There are, what, 3 DSi enhanced games? Who cares? Unlocking DSi mode for homebrew is a big step forward. If TC comes through for us, then they deserve the praise. ATM, I holding judgement until I see what this thing can do.
