Homebrew Update from 9.9 to current firmware

Is there actually a reason not to update to current firmware when I´m on 9.9? I´m using Ironhax/OoT3dhax and they both seems to work on the new fw though.

You are mistaken there is no kernel exploit for 9.9 yet I know someone posted here about it a few days ago but it was only about a possible exploit that was then discovered by those in the know that it would never work

So there's no reason whatsoever not to upgrade to 10.x if you're already on 9.9 then? The security doesn't change at all?
