Homebrew Update 6.x O3DS to 9.2?

I just bought a 6.something Old 3DS today. Is there a way to update it to 9.2? I'm planning on installing a CFW and using Ninjahax, so will I need 1.0 or will later ones work (and do HANS and other hax 2.0+ apps work on 1.0)?
