No it's just that I have no need of homebrew nor trucha signed games for Wii. If I want emulators, mplayer or other programs then I got my HTPC for that purpose which makes the Wii obsolete due to Wii only having 480P via component which sucks.

Well... My Wii is hardmodded, but I get the 001 error... So I still need the trucha bug...

What do I have to do to "safe update" my Wii, so I can still use the fake signing discs?

nintendos president mr Iwata will be giving a keynote at GDC in about 2 hours where he will be announcing new games for Wii, Wiiware, and Virtual Console plus its highly likely that the storage solution update will be sent out also

thats why the wii shop channel is down WORLD WIDE
also note that the dsi shop is also down

It may kill softmodding to people who update. I don't think there's anything Nintendo can really do about people on 3.2 systems with the amount of control we have over them

Yes, I'm pretty confident that if you have successfully downgraded to 3.2 beforeand disabled or blocked all updates with starfall or similar, you will be safe.

Not sure if you will still be able to use the shop channel... let's wait until the shop servers are online again.

You maybe won't be able to use the shop channel for a couple of weeks. Someone will come up with a workaround, if not a patchmii ios61 installer a cios pack update or something. Probably both in the long run

The shop is coming back online again... wiimpersonator seems busy downloading the new files.

UPDATE: the new files for all regions are online again, with another 5 patched files.

Save Data Can Not Be Loaded Directly from SD Cards. To use Save Data on SD Cards, you must move it to system memory.
