Hacking Unpatched switch getting started

Hi everyone im new to switch homebrew scene. I have a unpatched switch with firmware version on 9.2 and was looking for some help on how to get started putting custom firmware on it

Don't skip making a backup of the nand and make sure to get the keys too.

Download this. It will give you 9.2.0 CFW make sure you backup your nand. I highly reccomend you do a dualboot to keep your sysnand intact.

This is to start you off just incase you are afraid of updating your console.

I have another question. Should i go ahead and update my switch firmware from 9.2 to the current before i install and run custom firmware.

Upgrade to latest firmware and just follow a good guide. I recommend Atmosphere CFW.

No as you can update without burning fuses after setting up CFW.
