To be honest if it was a retail purchase unless it was at a specialty store they likely won't even power it on

The maximum you can do is just delete all the channels you can that involve homebrew such as the homebrew channel,no one will look more into it unless they mod it themselves.

Sure? Because im doing a trade in for a ps4 Dont wanna lose them both

You sure, I think that with Xenoblade X around the corner™ (JP April, EU... June, perhaps?) it is the worst momento to trade in a Wii U.
But the PS4 looks good anyway.

Also considering the exploit news as well,the Wii U could get more called for.
