THE "DENPA" MEN 3 Rise of the Digitoll
Is fucking awesome. A mix of a AR pokemon animal crossing RPG type thing. Really reminds me of the PS1 classic, Monster Rancher. Here are some pics:

I kinda like the mii plaza games. i beat the market crashers. i even bought all merch and have more worth than that 10billionaire.

OK here's an underrated game: 10 n 1 arcade classics. There a tetris like game, a missile command game, asteroids, and a space invaders type game. Rest suck though

Good 3D, easy to learn hard to master, and made me discover this genre

Two are, the others are (allegedly) paid DLC
However without ready access to other streetpassing players, while technically playable, you are clearly limited (think of them as pay2win, except it's streetpass2win)

I use a hack to get 300 play coins. and i can just hire puppies to be my companions (or analysts in the market game) the market game is actually free if you choose that one over the racing one.
The only games that require streetpass to play (meaning if you cannot streetpass, i cannot streetpass either, you will not be able to play the game at all.) are the racing game, the flower game, puzzle game (after you buy all buyable pieces), and battleground z.
All the rest can be played with play coins.
The battleground z one really upsetted me. it looked so cool in the tutorial stage. i'll probably never be able to play it.

well on the reviews I read a long time ago, the controls are hard, and the game too weird. But I never tried it so idk

Yes many people, including myself, thought the controls were weird, but i actually like them when used with the included dock. The gameplay is solid Sin and Punishment meets Zelda. Highly under-rated!

A 3DS game I love is New Super Mario Bros 2. i understand it's not exactly underrated, but I do believe it is overhated.

A 3DS game I love is New Super Mario Bros 2. i understand it's not exactly underrated, but I do believe it is overhated.

I always thought people just didn't understand that the games exist to give kids a solid Mario experience and not really to cater to the big fans.
I'm not sure this really counts, but the homebrew port of Quake works weirdly well with the game's low level of enemies and buttons. Couldn't really find a layout for Duke3D that worked well and I hate using the stylus to aim, but maybe someone out there has it figured out.

Fantasy Life and the Zero Escape games!

Talking 3DS only, Zero Escape - Virtue's Last Reward is definitely underrated! Although it does start a bit slow depending on your initial route (at first I was a bit frustrated even, 999 has a better start pulling you into the story), but mid to endgame is just a really good experience, definitely one of the top games of its genre for me
