Hacking Undelete DSi System Memory

Undelete DSi System Memory
I find myself extremely angry with Nintendo.

Another kid took my 5th grade daughter's DSi
& deleted all her flipnotes (in System Memory).
files: ppm, pls, lst

I can't find an option to undelete.
I'm an ol' CNE (certified novell(network) engineer)
I've done data recovery for a wide diversity of platforms.

I've seen that there are linux/unix boot options for the DS series,
using SD cards.

So, that being said, I'd have thought that a simple google search would get me somewhere in a timely manner.

Anyone seen a homebrew or commercial code for doing said undeletes?

It's not possible without third party access to the memory functions, if the information was recoverable. The DSi has not yet been hacked, there is no homebrew or flashcart that can access DSi System Memory (at least beyond private dev)

It's very sad, but perhaps you can get her an SD card and teach her to back-up her stuff =(

Nah, I think they'll stay deleted, unfortunately.
Shame you can't delete that kid...

(And your username doesn't have to be an email address you know...

if you want it changed, ask a Supervisor)
