Hacking Unable to launch HBL via sliderhax

Right, so I'm trying to set up Homebrew on my 2DS sysnand 7.2.0-17U. I load up sliderhax so I can start the boot file, but whenever I tap the slider, it seems to start trying to run the exploit. I get a grey bottom screen and then nothing. Top screen stays the same as when I was in the browser, with the bottom staying grey. It doesn't hard lock my system, but I have to force power off in order to do anything.

Any ideas?

That explains it. I didn't know there was a minimum FW for it, only a maximum. Thanks

Your best bet is to run rxTools in Pasta Mode through the browser and use sysupdater to update to 9.0/9.2. Then you'll be able to use all the current *hax and cold boot CFW.

I have rxtools bootable through MSET. That should suffice, right?

Yes. Just make sure you're using 3.0 as 2.6 doesn't have Pasta Mode.

It is. I have my old sysnand backup @ 7.2.0-17U. If I update to 9.2 and something acts up, I should be able to restore my original sysnand right?

If you have a hardmod.

Hey guys, im in a similar situation. Have a 2DS with 7.2 E here. Can someone explain or link me how im able to run safesysupdater to get the firmware to 9.2 ?

Im not sure how to run rxtools / Pasta to get into safesysupdater.
