Hey there! I've searched around and can't find any threads where someone's had this issue, but apologise if one exists and I missed it...
Background info
But, lately, I've noticed that the switch has been bugging out a little (sometimes downloaded games break and I have to re-download, etc) and been having some issues here and there.
I want to perform a factory reset, but if I perform a factory reset (either via the settings menu in OFW or via Nintendo's maintenance mode) it just hangs with:
I've left it for over an hour sitting there spinning, and nothing happens.
If I hold the power button down and hard-reset it, it just boots normally into OFW like nothing happened.
Anyone know why factory resets might not be working? Is there any other way I can perform one?
Background info
- I have an original Nintendo Switch (I can use the jig to boot into hekate, etc).
- The only thing I did with hekate was install Android onto the SD card, I've not done any CFW in the Switch's operating system itself, etc.
- This switch isn't banned or anything - I can download games from the eshop no problem.
- In 2020 I did a full backup of the emmc/boot0/boot1/etc (it was on version 10.0.4) before I ever did anything with hekate
- I'm not sure if I should restore to this, wouldn't it not work since I've updated the switch firmware over the years? I thought there was something with efuses and such, etc
