Unable to enter the recovery mod using UDPIH USB exploit method

so i am trying to connect my unmodded USA region wii u console with my Euro gamepad but that cannot be done without modding it . so i read about the UDPIH entering recovery mode with the USB exploit . but sadly i am unable to preform that. i am using unpatched switch to inject the UDPIH payload . following the exact tutorial by inserting the usb once i see the wii u logo i still fail to get to the recovery mode menu.

my wii U status is turned on and "semi connected" to the wii u console stuck on update is required but cant be done due to region error.

appreciate your help guys and thanks in advance.

Maybe buy a Pi pico and try again, before that, confirm your firmware is at least 5.5.x since UDPIH needs this.

thank you for your reply. the issue has been resolved . i have taken another approach which i will explain at the end of this post. so the issue was the console itself was outdated and was on firmware 5.2.x or 5.3.x which was the reason i couldnt get into the recovery menu.
As for my workaround to be able to enter the settings to update my console and start initiating the exploit i have came accross this unpopular project that is called Vanilla that clones the wii u gamepad. i went with the option of choosing the steamdeck because it was the easiest device to setup for me.

i will keep this post for furture references in case if someone ran into this issue.

Good to know. But Vanilla is NOT unpopular. Many famous Wiiu scene players contributed to the repo, like Gary.
