For what ever reason when I try to test a connection on my PSP (3000), it won't work regardless of what I do. The little Wlan switch on the top IS on, regardless of weather I try a power setting it still work work. WHY! I am also unable to connect my DS lite to the network as well, but that's entirely different . . .

Are you able to list the details about your set up?
It's possible that the WiFi card has been damaged in some way, but the cards in a 3000 might be better than in the 1000s.

Manually input the IP address. It's been a long time but this is what I think I did because setting it as auto didn't work for me also.

As your top option, it should be your IP address so XXX.XXX.XXX. < At the end here, give it any number you want.
Gateway and Primary DNS should be the same as your IP address
Subnet Mask set as 255.255.255.0

I have a wireless network, the computer (& a dell that's in this house) that's being used to type this can connect to the network. When laptops (brothers, or some else) is brought over they connect easily. I am not in the same room as the (AT&T . . .) router, i've tried going into the room with the router and that didn't do a thing.

Detect it, but won't connect. I think (corrding to my computer): WPA-Personal TKIP. Lest that's what my computer is set to.

As far as I know, PSP only connect to WEP.

DS can only do WEP - hence why your DS cannot connect
PSP does support WPA but you might be running WPA2 which is unsupported, I'm not entirely sure. Doesn't sound like standard WPA anyway.

WPA-Personal TKIP is fine for the PSP.

Open up a cmd window and use ipconfig /all to get your details. Check them on the routers web interface too.

Just keeps on:
"connection to the access point"
Please wait

Exchanging key infomation...
Please wait.

Does this about 5 - 8 times before it conks out. BAH!

DS supports open networks and WEP, DSi supports open, WEP, WPA (TKIP and AES) and WPA2 TKIP and AES. PSP supports open, WEP and WPA TKIP and AES.

If you're able to, try temporarily disabling the encryption, or altering the level to see if it'll work. Don't do it if you aren't sure of the settings though. Do you know which channel your signal is broadcasting on?

Nope, nor would I know. NOR would I be able to as I only live in this house but don't 'own' or pay for the taxes . . . . . . . . .

Sorry for the double posting and the forthcoming caps. But:

SCREW SPACES, SPACES SHOULDN'T MATTER THAT MUCH IN A DAMN PASSWORD! THAT'S what was screwing me up. S P A C E S !!!!
