Hacking UI lag on PS3 Slim after 1TB hard drive/controller sync?

Just upgraded my Slim to 1TB using the rebug copy HDD feature and have noticed a strange little quirk that wasn't present before:

Turn on the PS3 using the controller home button
Machine turns on and starts to boot
Gets to just before the UI screen (background/bar - no icons yet) and the controller is still flashing/not connected
Full XMB loads after around a 10 second delay
Controller is still flashing trying to sync
Once it gives up it resyncs on 2nd try.


Quite irritating as you can see, what could've caused that as the old stock drive is perfect? Any ideas?

Have you tried doing everything fresh? Try rebuilding the database.

Tried rebuilding the database and that did nothing. Going to look into restore filesystem and even reinstalling Rebug.

Maybe you have extract hdd from external drive and use it on ps3
