UFC Title Will Come to Wii!

Looks like the PS3/360 aren't the only consoles that get a UFC game!

UFC 2009: Undisputed is quite the success for THQ. They are seeing extremely positive sales on both 360 and PS3. You and I both know what big sales mean...franchise time!

Earlier today, THQ confirmed that the UFC license would expand to a handheld game, although no specific platforms were mentioned. Even better, we now have a confirmation that future versions of their UFC titles will get the Wii treatment, although we don't know if that will include UFC 2010. Either way, UFC fans that also own a Wii now have some more grappling to look forward to.

I can't see it being a very good seller on the Wii considering who the target audience of UFC is, which is teenage and adult males aged 17 and up generally. UFC is a cool sport but it's a bit overrated, plus like WWE, it will become a failboat gaming idea eventually after a bunch of rehashes are released.

Personally, I don't think the title will totally take off on the Wii. It IS a cool console so-to-speak now, but the interface just doesn't seem reasonable for such an action game. It is a very interesting idea and I think the "name" in itself will generate some sales. Who knows?!?! I did like Def Jam Fight For New York on the xbox1.
